The dictionary describes humor “something that is or designed to be comical”. Therapists say humor is an intervention that promotes health and wellness by stimulating playful discovery, expression or appreciation of life’s situations. In other words, humor has been shown to reduce stress, improve mood, raise self esteem and enhance relationships. It also makes life a whole lot more fun.

Apply humor to your life. Someone once said ‘Humor is pain plus time’. If it is going to be funny tomorrow, can you find a way to laugh about it today? Surround yourself with people that make you laugh. Seek out people who understand a little laughter goes along way. The health of your mind and body depend on it.
