Buying new appliances is often the first step to update your kitchen, but there are other important decisions to be made also. Will you have a built-in cook top, oven, convection oven and, microwave? If so, you’ll have to plan cabinets around them.
New countertops are nice and will set the tone for other decisions, such as new backsplash tiles, types of lighting and modern touches. You’ll also have to choose a new sink and decide what style you want. Then comes one of the many choices available in kitchen faucets.
If cabinets will be involved, this should be your first step then comes countertops.
As you can see from my post there is usually a beginning step but there is also a list of other items to consider. Write down all the things you want to change, a list is the real first step.
